Dominion Surgical Prepares for AAOS 2026 in New Orleans Booth #3244

AAOS 2026 gave Dominion Surgical a strong stage to connect with orthopaedic surgeons, industry leaders, and allied health professionals in New Orleans. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons describes AAOS as a leading source of musculoskeletal education and care guidance, and the 2026 Annual Meeting took place March 2-6, 2026, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

Why AAOS 2026 Mattered for Dominion Surgical

AAOS calls its Annual Meeting a major gathering for orthopaedic education, innovation, and professional collaboration. That made AAOS 2026 an important opportunity for Dominion Surgical to introduce more surgeons and care teams to the Dominion Patient Positioning System, a compact, surgeon-controlled patient positioning solution designed for anterior hip procedures. Dominion’s messaging emphasizes surgeon control, sterile-field compatibility, portability, and compatibility with existing OR tables.

At booth #3244, Dominion Surgical shared the energy of a busy exhibit floor and highlighted a surgeon-centered approach to patient positioning. Dominion Surgical expressed strong engagement during the meeting, including an evening event at Napoleon House, participation in the inaugural AAOS booth crawl and a feature highlight by Device Nation.

Dominion Surgical is honored to be featured in Device Nation’s annual booth crawl.

AAOS 2026 and the Dominion Patient Positioning System

During AAOS 2026, Dominion Surgical had an emerging technology to share. The Dominion Patient Positioning System is designed to let the surgeon control operative leg positioning from within the sterile field using a foot pedal. According to Dominion’s knowledge base, the system is intended to support surgeon autonomy, reduce workflow friction, preserve sterile workflow, and ease some of the storage and transport burdens associated with larger specialty equipment.

That message aligns with broader interest in efficient anterior hip workflows. In a 2022 study published in Arthroplasty Today, researchers reported lower setup time, lower surgical time, and lower total room time with an off-table direct anterior hip replacement technique compared with an on-table approach. That study does not evaluate Dominion’s device specifically, but it does help explain why many surgeons are interested in technologies built around surgeon-directed, off-table-style positioning.

Looking Ahead After AAOS 2026

The momentum from AAOS 2026 suggests that Dominion Surgical is continuing to build visibility around a differentiated approach to patient positioning for anterior hip procedures. The company’s conversations in New Orleans appeared to center on surgeon control, sterile workflow, and operational simplicity. As facilities continue to evaluate tools that may support efficient procedure flow, Dominion Surgical’s presence at AAOS helped put its system in front of the exact audience most likely to evaluate that value firsthand.
